Brenda and I are excited to announce the first annual Roses on the Windshield Rose Story Contest. This is your chance to submit your Roses for publication in the first edition book of "Roses on the Windshield, Lover's Secrets for Everlasting Love."
Imagine this... You have just walked into your favorite bookstore and a book catches your eye. It's a best-selling book entitled Roses on the Windshield, Lovers Secrets for Everlasting Love. You, open the book to the table of contents, and see your name in the as the author of a chapter. Now imagine opening up to your chapter and reading the story of love that you wrote.
You have an overwhelming feeling of joy in seeing your story in print, knowing that countless people from around the world are hanging on your every word while experiencing profound happiness from your inspirational tale of everlasting love. That's our vision for Roses on the Windhshield and a dream we'd like to share with YOU.
The Roses on the Windshield Rose Story Contest is very special and pretty simple. We're gathering Roses from lovers and readers from around the United States (Sorry but international contest law makes it impossible to run a world wide contest) and using them to compile a book.
A book of love. A book that will make a difference in countless lives all across this beautiful planet. This planet that gave us Roses to celebrate our feelings and passions.
To encourage your submissions, we created a Roses on the Windshield Story Contest with some incredible prizes. The winning entries can to win up to $2,000 plus special placement in the book.
We plan to include the top five-dozen Roses (stories) in the book for a massive boquet of love, beauty and food for loving hearts.
How often have you heard the question, "What's their secret for staying in love?"
While any single act is not the single reason for a lasting love, a Rose shows something special. A way of being and a way of showing love and appreciation. It's the reason they live and love "Happily ever after."
For me, sometimes it's a pink Rose on the Windshield of Brenda's car. Another time it was coming home from work with hotel reservations and a babysitter for the weekend so we could enjoy a fun weekend. Maybe it's our making sure the last thing we say to each other every day is, "I love you," even when we may be a bit unhappy about something the other said.
Whatever the details of your special story, a Rose is original, true, heartfelt and given selflessly just to show and grow love.
Some people have expressed a bit of apprehension about publishing a personal story under their real name and wondered if they could use a pen-name. Absolutely yes!!
Just let me know when you submit your story the name you would like your story to be published under. You will need to provide your legal name to enter the contest.
Rose submissions are only taken online. We are unable to take submisisons via mail or fax. Please do not submit any previoulsy published materials or book manuscripts as we are not book publishers. Contest submissions will be accepted through midnight, (USA EST, GMT - 4) July 31, 2009.
