The first Roses on the Windshield Day was just 2 days ago and I’ve had some wonderful feedback.
From my immediate family, my dad sent me an email saying that my mom brought him a single red rose and said it was a complete surprise and that he was very moved. After being together for six decades, they still find ways to deepen their love.
Still within the family but a few decades apart, my daughter sent me a pix message of the dozen roses her boyfriend sent to her. She thought he didn’t know anything about Roses on the Windshield Day.
I found a beautiful rose for Brenda at a local florist. The color was quite striking and reminded me of why I started giving roses and flowers to her. The reason has always been that Brenda has always brought beauty, color and love to my life and flowers are a way for me to bring it to hers.
When the concept for Roses on the Windshield Day first came to me, I thought of it being a once a year event but based on your comments and feedback , it seems that it needs to happen more often. Maybe we’ll have special days for men, women, family, friends and others we want to show our love and appreciation to.
