Roses on the Windshield Day

August 25, 2009, is the first International Roses on the Windshield Day!

anniversary at lighthouseCelebrate by doing something special for the person you love. If you like the idea of surprising her with a Rose on her Windshield, go for it! If you have other special ways to show her or him your love, make a special point of making it a VERY special moment that both of you can savor and remember for a long time.

What if you’re not in a relationship? Well, then just think of someone you love and do something nice for them. The person getting your “Rose” may be a senior citizen, your child, a volunteer who did something special, a Hospice nurse or volunteer, a special needs person who may need a bit of help, a teacher who made a difference to you or to someone else. The list is endless and the intent is the same – To take a moment to show love.

youtubeIf the circumstance is appropriate, take a video of the moment and share it with us. I’ve created a You Tube Roses on the Windshield channel. Go ahead and post your video and send me the link. I will add it to my favorites so others can see it.

Throughout history, lovers have “proclaimed their love to the world.” Roses on the Windshield Day is the chance for all of us to do the same. We can spread the message of love and caring from deep within our hearts and souls. We will make a difference. Just think about it… In one day, there can be millions of us throughout the world doing something special to share and show love. Now that’s powerful!

If you don’t have a video and wish to share your story about giving a Rose to someone you love, please do so by clicking the Share Your Stories tab at the top of the page.

Thank you for helping to make the first Roses on the Windshield Day a very special day of love and giving.
