The adjustment period is a time to really understand each other and grow your relationship. Way too often, it's when many people start to notice what they see as the flaws in the other person. We can see them as flaws or we can see them as part of what made that person into someone we were attracted to in the beginning. The next thought is often, "How can I change them?" We can't really change them. We can only accept what they are and choose to appreciate them and strengthen the relationship or continue to look elsewhere for happiness. Fortunately, Brenda and I chose to accept one another and, 34 years later, are still in love. Best wishes for a stronger love and wishing you Roses on your Windshields.
