Rose of the Day – Greeting Cards of Love

By Paul

I recently wrote about placing greeting cards from Brenda and our daughters in my journal. Looking at them always brings me a smile and feelings of love. Carol Ann, who is a member of Roses on the Windshield, wrote to me to share the story below, which I hop you enjoy

*Thank you Paul! I do the same thing – only I hide them like an Easter egg hunt as I get them. In drawers all over the house. And then when I find them it’s such a treasure. I have some things my grown sons wrote when they were little & some cards my now deceased husband made & gave to me. Talk about “Precious Memories” they are more than a song!!!*

I love Carol Ann’s idea of hiding the greeting cards, so that they are a pleasant surprise when found! As you can see from my site, I have a strong desire to spread the recycling mantra to others. However, this story proves that as long as you are reusing (i.e., hiding and finding) your greeting cards, there’s no need to destroy them to “recycle” them or help the environment.

    Thanks for the idea!
