Happy Sweetest Day
Posted by: | CommentsHappy Sweetest Day!
Dear friends,
October 17 is Sweetest Day and I have a special gift for you
to use to create a very special gift to the Rose in your Life.
Sweetest Day was actually started by a group of confectioners
in Cleveland, OH in 1921. Herbert Birch Kingston, who worked for
a candy company wanted to bring some joy into the lives of the
underprivileged such as orphans, shut-ins, the lonely elderly,
hospitalized people and many of the “forgotten others.”
He gathered together his candy-making friends and hatched
the plan to give boxes of candy to these people.
On this first Sweetest Day, they distributed 20,000 boxes of candy.
Since then, it has grown into a holiday to show love and appreciation
to those we love
For you, I created a special gift to show my love and appreciation
for being a person who has come into my life through Roses on the Windshield.

What’s in a Name?
Posted by: | CommentsBrenda and I were married i n 1980. Like a lot of young
couples we went to parties and get-togethers with friends
and family.
One of my relatives had a high school friend who I saw at
a lot of the parties. He was a nice guy and I enjoyed
talking to him with one exception: He called his wife his
“Old lady.” At the time, I was 23and he was 21 (not
exactly old).
I don’t know if it was an act , if he was trying to
impress people or if that was the way he thought. I never
liked it and thought it was sort of mean.
One night, we were talking in a group and he called Brenda
my “Old Lady.” I said to him, “Brenda’s not my old lady.
She’s my wife. You can call her my wife, bride or Brenda
but please don’t ever call her my old lady.”
He looked at me like he was a bit shocked and said, “Sure.”
Our words and the meanings we assign to them are very
powerful and I think it’s important that when we speak of
the person we love, we do so with kind words.
By the way, the guy I spoke about was divorced many years
ago. Maybe the negative words added up…
Express love with a list of gratitude
Posted by: | Comments
Sometimes it can be easy to get stuck in a rut or to take the
ones you love for granted. Here’s an incredibly powerful
method for turning that feeling into amazing feelings of love.
For the next thirty days, write down 10 things about your
love (or a person for whom you have feelings) that is special
or wonderful about them or about why you are grateful they
are in your life.
Each time you complete the list, close your eyes and
think of the things on the list and feel the gratitude.
At the end of the thirty days, take the list, roll it up
and insert it into the middle of a dozen roses. Put the
Roses on the Windshield of their car (or somewhere else
they will find it as a surprise).
I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the result.
Love and Roses on your Windshield,
Paul
Express love with dramatic thoughts
Posted by: | CommentsHave you ever thought of expressing love with extreme drama? Have you ever thought of how you can find and be the perfect soul-mate?
Try asking the universe. Try praying to God. Ask and pray with great detail. Be bold!
Instead of just asking for a boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife or a better relationship, try this two step process by saying:
1. “I pray and desire that I that my relationships are incredibly amazing. I desire to be an wonderful wife (husband, etc.) and bring absolute joy, happiness, friendship and fulfillment to my soul-mate.”
2: “I am so happy and grateful that I am in such a wonderful relationship. It is such an incredible feeling to awaken each day and go to bed each night knowing that he/she and I are so in love and lucky to be with each other.”
Now feel the words deep in your heart and release them to world!
Do this every day and see what happens. I’d love to hear back from you about the results.
Love and Roses on your Windshield,
Paul
Espress love with a smile when you get home
Posted by: | Comments
A lot of times, we arrive home with the weight of the
day on our shoulders. Whether it’s from clients,
employees, kids, traffic or whatever may be on your
mind, it’s easy to be preoccupied and let feelings
created by external events impact how we feel about
our loved ones when we get home.
Several years ago, I started something new. Right
before I get out of the car and again before I turn
the handle of the do to walk in the house, I take a
deep breath and say to myself, “It’s great to be
here, I can’t wait to see Brenda.” I then smile a big
smile and turn the handle to walk in.
For me, this little ritual makes a remarkable
difference in the day. Give it a try for a couple of
weeks. I think you’ll enjoy the results.
With Love and Roses on your Windshield,
Paul
