The Four Agreements – One of the most important books I’ve ever read.

One the most influential books I’ve ever read is the Four Agreements by Don  Miguel Ruiz.

His lessons apply to enjoying a life filled with love and romance as it shows us how to love ourselves.

Don Miguel has blessed us with a new agreement.

Well, I made it on the morning news to talk about Roses on the Windshield! I was a bit nervous because I had so much I wanted to say but only 3 minutes to talk! I bumbled at the beginning and tried to make a recovery :-)

Anyway, here’s the video!

Happy Sweetest Day

Posted by: Paul | Comments (1)

Happy Sweetest Day!

Dear friends,

October 17 is Sweetest Day and I have a special gift for you
to use to create a very special gift to the Rose in your Life.

Sweetest Day was actually started by a group of confectioners
in Cleveland, OH in 1921. Herbert Birch Kingston, who worked for
a candy company wanted to bring some joy into the lives of the
underprivileged such as orphans, shut-ins, the lonely elderly,
hospitalized people and many of the “forgotten others.”

He gathered together his candy-making friends and hatched
the plan to give boxes of candy to these people.

On this first Sweetest Day, they distributed 20,000 boxes of candy.

Since then, it has grown into a holiday to show love and appreciation
to those we love

For you, I created a special gift to show my love and appreciation
for being a person who has come into my life through Roses on the Windshield.

  • CLICK HERE to Download The Sweetest day Dozen Roses pdf
  • Underneath the poem How do I Love Thee by Elizabeth Barrett Browning
is a list for you to complete your dozen roses.
  • On each line, write something you love or admire about your special love.
  • Roll it up and tie it with a pink ribbon.
  • Place it in the center of a dozen roses.
  • Give it to your beloved.

What’s in a Name?

Posted by: Paul | Comments (0)

Brenda and I were married i n 1980. Like a lot of young
couples we went to parties and get-togethers with friends
and family.

One of my relatives had a high school friend who I saw at
a lot of the parties. He was a nice guy and I enjoyed
talking to him with one exception: He called his wife his
“Old lady.” At the time, I was 23and he was 21 (not
exactly old).

I don’t know if it was an act , if he was trying to
impress people or if that was the way he thought. I never
liked it and thought it was sort of mean.

One night, we were talking in a group and he called Brenda
my “Old Lady.” I said to him, “Brenda’s not my old lady.
She’s my wife. You can call her my wife, bride or Brenda
but please don’t ever call her my old lady.”

He looked at me like he was a bit shocked and said, “Sure.”

Our words and the meanings we assign to them are very
powerful and I think it’s important that when we speak of
the person we love, we do so with kind words.

By the way, the guy I spoke about was divorced many years
ago. Maybe the negative words added up…

Express love with a list of gratitude

Posted by: Paul | Comments (1)

Espress love with RosesSometimes it can be easy to get stuck in a rut or to take the
ones you love for granted. Here’s an incredibly powerful
method for turning that feeling into amazing feelings of love.

For the next thirty days, write down 10 things about your
love (or a person for whom you have feelings) that is special
or wonderful about them or about why you are grateful they
are in your life.

Each time you complete the list, close your eyes and
think of the things on the list and feel the gratitude.

At the end of the thirty days, take the list, roll it up
and insert it into the middle of a dozen roses. Put the
Roses on the Windshield of their car (or somewhere else
they will find it as a surprise).

I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the result.

Love and Roses on your Windshield,
Paul

Express love with dramatic thoughts

Posted by: Paul | Comments (0)

Have you ever thought of expressing love with extreme drama?  Have you ever thought of how you can find and be the perfect soul-mate?

form conversionsTry asking the universe. Try praying to God. Ask and pray with great detail. Be bold!

Instead of just asking for a boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife or a better relationship, try this two step process by saying:

1. “I pray and desire that I that my relationships are  incredibly amazing. I desire to be an wonderful wife (husband, etc.) and bring absolute joy, happiness, friendship and fulfillment to my soul-mate.”

2: “I am so happy and grateful that I am in such a wonderful relationship. It is such an incredible feeling to awaken each day and go to bed each night knowing that he/she and I are so in love and lucky to be with each other.”

Now feel the words deep in your heart and release them to world!

Do this every day and see what happens. I’d love to hear back from you about the results.

Love and Roses on your Windshield,

Paul

Express love to yourself

Posted by: Paul | Comments (0)

Take a moment and think of the most
beautiful rose you’ve ever seen. The soft
texture, the delicate veins that were
transporting life through the petals, the
subtle variations in color and the
magnificent fragrance.

Do you see it? Can you smell and feel it?

Is it still in your memory? Can you see how
the beauty of the rose now only exists
because of you? You can describe it, maybe
you can paint or draw a picture of it.

The beauty of the rose is in you. The love
it represents is in you. That’s because you
are beauty and you are love.

I hope you see that as clearly as the truth
it represents because you deserve to know
the truth of what you are. I can see it in
you.

With love and Roses on your Windshield,

Paul

I’m a big believer in the Law of Attraction (LOA).  Over the past year, I’ve expressed and strengthened my love to Brenda in many ways. One has been with this site and with everything related to Roses on the Windshield.

When I take the time to write about my love and how wonderful it is, I’m manifesting a better relationship. Last year, I started writing down the things I’m grateful for. Many law of attraction and success books recommend it and I finally started doing it about a year ago. I always end my list with gratitude for Brenda and our love.

I’m normally the first to get up in the morning and write in my journal and gratitude book before Brenda is up. The result is that when I see her first thing, it’s with thoughts of happiness and gratitude. The LOA brings us both the expectation and manifestation of love. If you haven’t given this a try, you may enjoy the results!

With Love and Roses on your Windshield,

Paul

Express love through cooking

Posted by: Paul | Comments (1)

I love to cook and, for me, it’s a great way to express love. As I am typing this, I’m smelling the ribs I’ve been smoking fon in the smoker for about the past 5 hours. Made a Memphis dry rub and they keep smelling better. Mmmm :-)

My mom was a great cook and we always had great meals. I enjoyed helping out and I actually started cooking the family barbecued chicken on the grill back when I was in third grade. It was a lot of fun to get the grill set up, mound the charcoal, squirt on the lighter fluid, light it and wait for the coals to get gray so I could start the chicken.

When you think about it, cooking involves all of the senses and there is so much to do to make the experience more memorable and exciting. For me that’s happened when I’ve created something REALLY good or done something REALLY dumb! Either way, it adds to the experience. Of  course, food and cooking as part of a romantic evening adds a lot of possibilities and potential for some exciting fun and memories :-) .

For me, cooking is a way to express my love for the person or people I’m cooking for. I think I used to do it more for my ego to hear everybody tell me how great my meal was but now it’s part of the joy of making others happy. On special occasions, I’ll make Brenda her favorite meal, which is Chicken Kiev with twice-baked potatoes and asparagus with hollandaise sauce.

Any memories of food, cooking and love you’d like to share? Just click comment below and let us know!
